Common problems are that “SpreadSheetID” property is misspelled or not set, but that shouldn’t cause the error you are experiencing.

The script for this tutorial is 12 lines long and you get an error on line 24. That makes me very curious of what code you have on line 24. If you could post that I’ll help you figure this bug out.
